Sinningia Freckles (Clayberg). Miniature plain white tubular flower shape with lavender-purple upper petals, decorated in the throat of the small yellow spots and a large dark lilac-purple freckles. It is for these spectacular freckles variety, registered in 1971, and received its name. The leaves are dark green, small, toothed, with a red underside, compact rosette. Microminiature.
Sinningia Freckles is a hybrid of S. concinna and S. hirsuta, and is one of the few occasions that S. hirsuta has been successfully used as a parent. However, the overall habit of the plant, and especially the flower size and shape, are much closer to concinna, which is one of the true microminiatures, along with S. pusilla.
